Over your Baselayer a warm insulating layer is needed to preserve your body heat. This layer should be made of a wicking material to draw the persperation out from your baselayer towards your outershell. The best fleeces are made from durable artifical materials such as Polartec or Paramo Analagy Dirctional fleece. Fleeces also come in different weights of fabric depending on how much you feel the cold or how cold the conditions are that you like to be outdoors in!

We stock fleeces from Paramo, Berghaus, Karrimor, Craghopper and many others in both Men's and Women's fit in a variety of weights and materials including Polartec Windbloc and Gore Windstopper softshell . If you want a fleece that has expectional water resistant properties then look towards the Paramo Tiaga Fleece, treated with Nikwax's TX-10 water repellant finish and being constructed using the same technology as the Paramo waterproof jacket range, the Tiaga fleece will help keep you warm and dry.
